I was at the Kent Show again this year. I don’t think that it rained as hard this year as the previous year. The difference of course was that it had been raining pretty consistently for weeks and weeks beforehand. Kent Show is, as always, held at the Kent Showground and is run by the Kent County Agricultural Society. So, in keeping with the theme, here are some photos of wellies in the rain and mud. It seemed that the more mud you had, the more popular your stand was.
When it wasn’t raining, there were some thunderous skies to remind us of what was in store. I do like the moody sky photos though
This last one is one of my favourite photos from the weekend. . . .
It was such a shame that the show was effectively a wash out. There must have been hundreds of hours of effort spent preparing the Show and then all the traders turning up etc etc. The numbers through the gate must have been some of the lowest recorded, maybe the same 83 year record reported as how long its been since visitors had to be turned away . . . Let’s hope that next year can be a better year . . . its long overdue!
