Sheffield Park and Garden

Sheffield Park and Garden is a National Trust Property and is one of my favourites to visit. It is a stunning and beautiful location. Big problems on this day though! A) I was with the family and B) I didn’t have any camera with me other than my iPhone 4S! Still, with such great views, I made the most of it . . .see what you think of iPhonetography. (I just made that word up!)
It was a lovely bright day at the start of June and the flowers were out and the colours looked great. They have a large variety of Rhododendrons’ there in different colours :
I love the mix of the flowers, the trees and the water at this place. Every corner reveals a different view of the site.
I’d like to come back with the ‘big’ camera and see what difference it makes. I had to give more thought to controlling the flare from the sunlight with my iPhone and didn’t have the same point of focus control but I am happy with the way the photos came out.
This was my second visit to Sheffield Park and Garden and the first time was more autumnal. I went with my friend Alys and we took some great photos on that occasion. I blogged about it here: Alys @ Sheffield Park. I really wouldn’t like to say which of the two seasons I prefer? I would say that its quite a tranquil place but that depends upon who you take with you I think!!
